The history of Hardt auctions goes back to his senior founder Peter Hardt. In 2020 the company was purchased by one of his children, Tobias Hardt. Now in the second generation, the company quickly developed to the fastest growing auction company specializing in Asian Art in Europe. The step into auction business was the result of high demands by vendors as well as buyers around the world. The Ceo and Auctioneer of Hardt Auctions , Tobias Hardt , started his career 25 years back with the age of 15 at the family business "Galerie Peter Hardt". With the main focus on himalayan Art, the gallery participated world wide in Art shows, for example in New York , London or Hong Kong. During his career contacts and Sales to major collectors and institutes world wide were established. As one of the life time projects , Family Hardt opened the doors of its own "Museum of Asian Art" in Radevormwald 2017. With its focus on Asian Art, the museum quickly became a center for collectors and Art lovers from around the world. For Tobias Hardt , with the years of knowledge and experience, it was the obvious next step to become active as an auctioneer. During long nights with collectors in the museum , it became more and more clear for him, that they would need help to share their passion in collecting and therefore the passion for art with others.
